The Insurance Museum is proud to announce it has a new website. The previous version was over four years old, so it was time to update the infrastructure, content and look. The new site will be a place where everyone can find out about the Insurance Museum’s vision, its plans and who we are.
The redevelopment of the website will be one of the ways we will share the story of insurance and stay in touch with all our supporters. You will be able to check out all our latest news and find out how to get involved through membership, donations or even contributing to the Insurance Museum’s collection itself.
Our new website includes a page on Education, which will provide material for schools, colleges, universities and insurance professionals looking for additional CPD content. We are planning to reach out to schools and colleges in the coming years, and this page will expand as we do so. We aim to support teachers in teaching subjects around insurance history and personal finance, and aim to attract new talent to the insurance sector through career programmes. If you work in education, keep an eye out for developments or sign up to the IM Newsletter where we report on our updates. You are more than welcome to drop us a line with ideas and what you would like to see on the Education page.
Our “Members Only” area will contain features and information for the Insurance Museum Members. For £50 a year you can gain access to this area, read the features, listen to podcasts and sign up to the online events. You can sign up here.
We have also made it easier for people to donate. If you wish to donate, simply go to our donations page, enter the amount you wish to donate and fill in your details. Don’t forget to fill in a Gift Aid form, if applicable, which allows us to claim back tax on donations. Every page also has the chance for everyone to sign up to the Insurance Museum Newsletter.
Along with the new IM branding and the wonderful “Escher-esque” IM logo, the new website will look contemporary and provide a new platform for the Insurance Museum to move forward into our next exciting stages of growth.
